Cancer Treatment is very expensive. It has proven to be above the means of many individuals and families globally and the Ghanian teacher is no exception. Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) created a fund which members contribute monthly to support cancer treatment for its members.
However, contributions from members are not adequate to sole fund the education, treatment, and Management of cancer cases among its members and their dependants. In view of the above objectives, the GNAT Cancer Foundation (a company limited by guarantee) (GCF or the Foundation) was incorporated under Companies Act of 2019 (Act 992) on 16 June 2022. The objective of the foundation is to raise funds to augment members contribution towards education, treatment, and management of cancer cases among members of GNAT.
